چکیده
Although vegetation community information such as grazing gradient, biomass, and density have been well characterized in typical grassland communities with Stipa grandis Leymus chinensis dominant species, their impact on the soil moisture (SM) inversion is still unclear. This study investigated characteristics of a at different gradients growing seasons its SM using remote sensing data. The water cloud model (WCM) was used for inversion, both field data collected from 2019 to 2021 were calibration prediction. found that calibrated WCM achieved prediction results average R2 values 0.41 0.38 seasons, respectively. Vegetation biomass height significantly correlated indexes, highest accuracy around 121.1 g/m2 [102.3–139.9] 18.6 cm [17.3–19.8], Generally, NDWI1 produced higher estimation than NDWI2. season also affects retrieve SM, mid-growing I. Therefore, developed optimal can enhance capacity; it thus be potentially grasslands.

Soil Moisture Estimation Using Remote Sensing
Knowledge of soil moisture content in the root zone is important throughout a wide range of environmental applications, yet adequate monitoring or modelling of this parameter, particularly at larger spatial scales, is difficult due to its high spatial and temporal variability. To overcome the land surface model limits on soil moisture estimation accuracy, point measurement spatial coverage limi...

Soil moisture is generally regarded as the limiting factors in rangeland production. Although many studies have been conducted to estimate soil moisture in semiarid areas, there is little information on mountainous rangelands in west of Iran. The present study aims to investigate the soil moisture estimation in rangelands as compared to the other land uses over a mountainous area in central Zag...

Traditional methods of field measurement of soil moisture in addition to the difficulty, the need for manpower and money and fail to take place on a large scale to be able to show moisture. Therefore, remote sensing has become a widespread use .Landsat 8 satellite data and Sentinel-1 radar satellite from Tehran were provided. 72 soil samples were taken at the same time by satellite passing from...
متن کاملActive Passive Remote Sensing of Soil Moisture
1.0 INTRODUCTION Numerous studies have shown the influence of soil moisture on the feedbacks between landsurface and climate, which in turn affect the dynamics of the atmosphere boundary layer and have a direct relationship to weather and global climate (Shukla and Mintz, 1982). Chang, et al., 1991 have shown the influence of spatial variations of soil moisture and vegetation on the development...
متن کاملMicrowave Remote Sensing of Soil Moisture
Because of the large contrast between the dielectric constant of liquid water and that of dry soil at microwave wavelength, there is a strong dependence of the thermal emission and radar backscatter from the soil on its moisture content. This dependence provides a means for the remote sensing of the moisture content in a surface layer approximately 5 cm thick. The feasibility of these technique...
